RAPID Adhesion Release Technique
RAPID Adhesion Release Technique (A.R.T.) is a newer movement based therapeutic technique that focuses on the central nervous systems in order to release tension and constraint within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.
There are a multitude of conditions that can be remedied by RAPID A.R.T. including:
- Shoulder Pain
- Back Pain
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Shin Splints
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Knee Problems
- Tennis Elbow
- Golfer’s Elbow
- Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)
- Frozen Shoulder
- Bunions and Arthritic joints
Most of the conditions above are a result of one issue – overuse of muscles. Muscles can be damaged in a multitude of ways. Acute conditions are most common in muscle tissues. These conditions include tears, pulls, tensions, stress, and collisions. Micro-traumas is another condition in which there is an accumulation of small tears in the muscle. Last, but not least, is hypoxia; a lack of oxygen to your muscles. Each of these conditions can cause dense scar tissue to build up in the affected areas. This scar tissue causes the muscles to become shorter and weaker, tendonitis when the tendons are under tension and trapped nerves.
Each session of RAPID A.R.T. is usually a combination of examination and treatment. In order to provide the best treatment, the therapist will use their hands to evaluate the movement of muscle tissues, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Any abnormalities in these areas are treated by combining direct tension and specific patient movements.
RAPID Adhesion Release Technique helps alleviate all of the above conditions. If you are feeling any of the above and are curious as to how RAPID Adhesion Release Technique can help you, please don’t hesitate to give the clinic a call to ensure we can treat your condition appropriately.
