I have a holistic view on health and wellbeing and use massage therapy as a tool to bring balance back to the body and mind. I completed my 2200-hour RMT training at MacEwan University in 2018! My program included Relaxation/Swedish massage, Injury prevention/Recovery massage, Sports massage, Prenatal massage, Deep tissue massage, Trigger point therapy, and Myofascial techniques.
My approach to Massage Therapy looks at the body as a whole unit. I treat the structures that are directly affected, as well as other structures that may be indirectly affected.
I also studied Manual Osteopathic Therapy at National Manual Osteopathic College (NMOC). I mix osteopathic techniques like fascia release, and visceral manipulation into massage as tools to aid in the alignment and recovery of the body.
While studying manual osteopathy I found great interest and excitement in Craniosacral therapy. I plan to further my education specializing with Craniosacral therapy, learning more about the central nervous system and treating neurological dysfunction.
With Massage Therapy I hope to aid and educate my patients. Providing them with treatments, as well as guiding them to develop their own skill set to better help themselves.
