Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses and Covid-19 is the newest known to humans. At Therapeutic Body Concepts we recognize the severity of the situation with this virus around the world and have adopted certain measures to help protect our clients and our team.

What is TBC doing to protect you?

In order to do our best to stay healthy and avoid any spread of illness, we have implemented the following measures:

  • All TBC staff will need to self-screen and assess themselves prior to entering the clinic and treating clients. They will not come into work if they are feeling unwell.
  • The staff at TBC will not be permitted to come to work within 14 days of travelling outside of the country.
  • All clients of TBC will be screened and will have to fill out a health declaration prior to their visit. Anyone who is not feeling well will not be given treatment in the clinic.
  • All clients of TBC will be provided a mask to wear during their entire visit including during their treatment. No outside masks will be permited and we are happy to provide this to you at no added cost.
  • TBC staff will be abiding by social distancing guidelines while outside of the workplace.
  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed in the reception areas of both clincs.
  • All commonly touched items in the clinic space will be routinely sanitized and cleaned.
  • Your practitioner will wear a mask at all times while in clinic. The only exceptions are for eating and drinking in our designated staff areas.
  • Proper hand-washing, health etiquette and symptom awareness posters will be posted around the clinic.
  • Water will no longer be served in the clinic.
  • Each of our treatment rooms are equipped with a HEPA/UV Air Filter to further protect us.
  • Receipts will always be sent via email to you as the preferred method. If a printed receipt is needed, it will be handed to you on the desk.
  • All appointments will now have 30 minutes in between for proper cleaning and sanitation.

What can I expect when I come for my Massage, Acupuncture, or Osteopathy Treatment?

Our world has greatly changed since the outbreak of this virus. When it comes to getting hands-on services, there will be some changes. In order to do our best to stay healthy and avoid any spread of illness, we have implemented the following measures:

  • Please call us when you arrive for your appointment to check in, or scan the barcode on the signage at our entryways. Your waiting room will now be in your vehicle. We will call you when your Practitioner is ready for you. They will meet you at the door to let you in.
  • Our front door will remain locked between treatments. We will no longer have a waiting area in the clinic due to space restrictions and no walk-ins will be available. We will be taking clients by appointment only.
  • Please do not bring family members, partners, or children into the clinic with you (unless they have a treatment as well). Your loved ones will need to either wait in the vehicle or leave and return when you are finished your treatment. Please arrange child care prior to your appointment.
  • When your practitioner greets you at the entrance they will provide you with hand sanitizer and a mask. Please keep the mask on and over your mouth AND nose at all times while in the clinic and during your treatment.

Note: In order to ensure quality of filtration and consistency, no outside masks will be permitted. We are happy to provide you a surgical/procedure mask for you visit at no extra cost.

  • Your treatment will remain unchanged. We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to you!
  • We will strive to reduce the amount of contact with commonly touched surfaces, so if possible please provide a credit card number to be stored securely on file. We can then seamlessly process any payments right at our desk and you can leave in your post-massage bliss knowing that everything is taken care of.
  • If having a credit card number on file is not preferable, we will use a tap method whenever possible, as well as accept e-transfers for payment. All debit machines will be sanitized in between uses.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

There are some things that you can do that will help make your next appointment to see us go smoothly. We want to ensure that you are still getting the relaxing experience that you are looking for!

  • We recommend that you do your best to use the washroom before coming to your appointment. Our washrooms will still be available, but we would like to reduce the amount of contact with commonly touched surfaces and reduce traffic in commonly used areas. All washrooms will be routinely cleaned frequently throughout the day.
  • Please ensure that you have electronically filled out all of the required Intake Paperwork prior to your appointment. These documents are available electronically and links are provided in your Booking Confirmation emails and your Reminder Emails. If, for some reason, you are unable to fill out this paperwork prior to your appointment, we will have it available for you when you arrive. We will take precaution with paper and pen handling and sanitation.
  • All new clients will need to fill out Health History Forms.
  • Please ensure that you have completed your Covid-19 Clinical Survey prior to each of your appointments, on the day of your appointment. It will include a series of health and travelling questions to be sure you are healthy and safe to enter the clinic space. This document is available electronically and a link will be emailed to you 4 hours before your appointment.

We will not be taking any clients who are experiencing Covid-19 related symptoms, are not feeling well, have been in contact with someone with Covid-19, and/or have been travelling outside of Canada in the last 14 days. Due to this policy, all clients coming into the clinic must complete this Waiver and Declaration.

  • If you have Extended Health Benefits that you would like us to directly bill to for your treatment, we will need a copy of your benefits card, one piece of government issued ID, and a valid credit card on file. Whenever possible, please call us to set this up prior to your visit.
  • Please bring as little as possible into the clinic with you. Any non-essential personal belongings should be left at home or in your vehicle. Therapeutic Body Concepts waives all liability of personal items left in your vehicle.
